Introduction

International Commercial is a family business established in 1996 and part of a business group with more than 40 years of experience in the African market. International Commercial caters to consumers in Namibia and mainly Angola.
International Commercial, an export-oriented importer and wholesaler with a bonded warehouse status, it is in Oshikango, the fast-developing and vibrant town in the northern region of Namibia at the border with Angola.

General Activity

International Commercial trades in general merchandise like furniture, home appliances, home and office electronics, mobile phones, IT products as well as industrial ware including generators and machinery, tools, and construction material. We also stock a large variety of vehicles from trucks and busses to motorcycles. International Commercial is likely to vend close to anything and everything that might be needed in a home or a business.

Occupational Area

Over the past 20 years International Commercial has invested a considerable amount to construct 22 warehouses and 6 showrooms. The biggest storage area in the northern Namibian region. Ten thousand square meters of sophisticated showrooms allowing us to showcase our huge varieties of products and twenty thousand square meters of Loading / offloading areas and other facilities.

Investment/Imports

International commercial is considered as a leading company in Oshikango and as the biggest investment in the northern part of Namibia with total import exceeding 1500 containers per year.
We have developed our own household appliances and technology brand ICON.

Working Staff

International Commercial is currently employing more than 150 staff members. With this number International Commercial is the biggest employer in the northern region of Namibia.

International Commercial and Nokia

International Commercial became a Nokia official distributor for the Namibian and Angolan market in November 2008. Through hard work and commitment, we succeeded in bringing up the Nokia brand to be the dominant brand with an outstanding market share and exponential increase in sales figures.

International Commercial and ICON

We have developed our own Household Appliances and Technology brand – ICON. ICON, created and developed at our facilities, is an acronym for International Commercial Namibia and was introduced to the market in 1997. Now, ICON is one of the most popular brands in the Namibian and Angolan market.

International Commercial and Panasonic

International Commercial became the sole distributor of Panasonic products for the Namibian and Angolan market in April 2010. Panasonic chose International Commercial among all other competitors for the wide experience and the know how International Commercial has in the field. In a very short period and through extensive marketing campaigns, Panasonic started to gain market share in a very fast pace in both the Namibian and Angolan market.

International Commercial and Other Partners

International Commercial established a solid business relation with BAJAJ motors for the Indian two wheels as well as with Force Motors India for commercial trucks and buses. As official distributors for these two brands we managed to gain the major market share for Bajaj motorcycles in Angola as well as to establish an acceptable market for the Force trucks and buses.
